Chiptuning in the VW UP GTI

VW Up 1.0 GTI

Now even the smallest in the VW family is getting the GTI stamp. Since then, GTI has actually graced the strongest expansion stages of the Golf series and has been quite successful with it. Is the UP a worthy GTI? As standard, the UP GTI draws its 115 hp standard output from a 1.0 L three-cylinder engine. Sounds sufficient considering the size. The performance is particularly criticized, which is simply too little for a real GTI model. One solution to the performance question is the CPA PowerBox. With the help of its engine-specific software, it helps the small GTI to achieve a considerable increase in power. The VW UP GTI delivers up to 31 hp and 54 NM more when CPA chip tuning is installed. In the small UP, you notice the performance immediately after installation. Nevertheless, the engineers at VW have given the UP GTI a few treats. Reinforced anti-roll bars, harder dampers and new strut mounts contribute to the sporty riding experience. Since the performance is now also adequate, we think the UP can confidently call itself a real GTI.
