boost pressure
More pressure - more performance
In combustion engines, boost pressure is the air pressure in the intake line. In the case of turbocharged engines, this is given relative to the air pressure in the surrounding atmosphere. This is also known as "pre-compaction". In the case of non-turbocharged engines, the value is given in absolute terms for the pressure in the intake tract. The value is measured directly behind or in front of the throttle valve.
